About David Ly, PMHNP-BC
With over a decade of psychiatric nursing experience, David has cared for children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of clinical settings. He has extensive experience treating anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, and other mood and psychiatric conditions. He has developed particular expertise in caring for individuals living with ADHD, depression, and severe mental illness, helping patients achieve greater stability and long-term wellness.
David believes that meaningful psychiatric care begins with listening. He takes the time to understand each patient’s unique experiences, challenges, and goals before developing an individualized treatment plan. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or diagnoses, he strives to build strong therapeutic relationships founded on trust, empathy, and open communication.
His approach to medication management is collaborative and personalized. David works closely with each patient to discuss treatment options, answer questions, and ensure they feel informed and involved in every step of their care. Recognizing that every individual’s journey is different, he tailors treatment plans to meet each person’s unique needs, values, and circumstances instead of relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
Outside of the office, David enjoys staying active at the gym, taking long drives, and exploring new recipes in the kitchen. He believes maintaining balance and pursuing personal interests are important components of overall mental wellness.
